Compliance Program

FIFTH AVENUE THERAPY is committed to compliance with all laws governing federal and state-funded health care programs and all requirements of other insurance companies. FIFTH AVENUE THERAPY is committed to charging, billing and submitting claims for reimbursement only when professional services have been provided and documented in the manner required by laws and regulations.

FIFTH AVENUE THERAPY has established a written Medicaid Compliance Program, policies and procedures and standards that demonstrate our commitment to complying with all applicable federal and state statutory, regulatory, and other requirements. These standards apply to all Afected Individuals including but not limited to Employees, Interns, Volunteers, Executives, Board of Directors, Vendors and Contracted Parties of FIFTH AVENUE THERAPY and are a critical component of our efforts to detect, prevent, and control fraud, waste and abuse. FIFTH AVENUE THERAPY expects All Affected Individuals to refrain from conduct that may violate the fraud and abuse laws including, but not limited to, the prohibition on submitting false, fraudulent or misleading claims to any government entity or third-party payer, including claims for services not rendered, claims which characterize the service differently than the service actually rendered, or claims which do not otherwise comply FIFTH AVENUE THERAPY with applicable program or contractual requirements.

It is the responsibility of each of these parties to report all known or suspected non-compliance and fully participate in all investigations and resolutions.  If you are unsure whether or not an action is not compliant it is the responsibility of the individual and or entity to contact Compliance Officer Richard Mack for clarification.  Failing to report suspected non-compliance, participate in an investigation or remediation is a violation of NYS OMIG Part 521 and FIFTH AVENUE THERAPY policy.
